Susan Kozel is a Professor in the School of Arts and Culture at Malmö University, Sweden. With an international profile as a contemporary phenomenologist, she applies philosophical thought to a range of embodied practices in the context of digital media technologies.
Her research takes the form of both scholarly writing and performance practices. Current research foci are affect, re-enactments and somatic archiving. Her first sole-authored book, Closer: Performance, Technologies, Phenomenology (MIT Press 2007) is soon to be followed by Affective Choreographies.
